Food4Kids Backpack Program Donation & Grocery List

Please note Thomas Group Realty’s new office address: 5346 SW 91st Terrace, Gainesville, FL 32608

The Food4Kids Backpack Program of North Florida collects non-perishable food items and prepares backpacks full of food to children in need enrolled in Alachua County schools to take home over the weekend. The program began as an initiative that there be “No More Hungry Children,” and is currently serving 22 schools throughout Alachua, Levy and Dixie Counties.

Thomas Group Realty is kicking-off a special campaign to support the Food4Kids Backpack Program through the upcoming Spring Break. The same children who take food over the weekend will need supplies for the week while they are on vacation and not receiving school breakfast and lunch. We hope to supply enough food items through donations with a mini food drive but…

We need your help!

For Spring Break, we will need to stock up on a variety of items for the program. As an agency, we provide a large part of the donated items, but we need help from you, our community, to provide enough food for Spring Break. From now until March 19th, we will be collecting donated items in both of our office locations in the Haile Village Center and Thornebrook Village. Our Thomas Group Realty broker, Matt Thomas, is the chair for the Wiles Elementary School Food4Kids Backpack Program. He himself fills the backpacks every Friday to be picked up by the students, and on March 19th he will pick-up any items you wish to donate from your office or place of residence if you are unable to drop-off at either of our office locations.

The breakdown to the right of the page explains what goes in the backpacks every week and how you can help us reach our goal of feeding kids in need.

Please drop any items to either location:
Haile Village Center: 5341 SW 91st Terrace, Ste A, Gainesville FL 32608
Thornebrook Village: 2727 NW 43rd Street, Ste 1, Gainesville FL 32606
Heritage Bank of the South: 4200 SW 34th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608

If you wish to schedule a pick-up for on March 19th, please email
