Earth Day: Working Toward a “Green” Business at Thomas Group Realty

A flower blooming in Haile Plantation Haile Village CenterHappy Earth Day 2016! Today, and every day, we are glad to be surrounded by the lush flora and fauna in North Florida – the beautiful granddaddy oak trees; colorful crape myrtle shrubs; the friendly neighborhood deer; and of course our Gainesville mascots: the local gator population.

At Thomas Group Realty, we make continuous efforts to make our business more environmentally friendly. Last year, we boosted our efforts from recycling paper and plastic around to office, to adding a water fountain to replace water bottles and reduce plastic waste.

Most importantly, in 2015 we launched an initiative to become a paperless company. Between contracts, addendums and fliers, real estate companies tend to use a lot of paper, and we wanted to do our part and reduce paper waste.

In January of 2016, we successfully transitioned and can conduct all business electronically, using paper only at the customer’s request. We’ve come a long way, and we will continue doing our part to reduce waste – Happy Earth Day 2016!
