2021 Match Day in Gainesville, Florida | UF Health
Every year on the third Friday in March, the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) pairs medical residents around the country with medical residency programs at eligible teaching hospitals, where they spend the next four years living and learning. Gainesville’s University of Florida College of Medicine is no exception. In 2020, UF welcomed 123 new matches.
Match Day is celebrated throughout the city as new residents come to make Gainesville home.
The community welcomes all of its new residents to the Gator Nation and to the city. With plenty of restaurants, shopping, college sports and nature exhibits, Gainesville is a great place to call home.
