When I was two years old my family left Missouri for the Sunshine State and Gainesville has been my home ever since. My brother and I were raised in the rural Alachua area and my father worked for Driltech and my mother worked for General Electric.
I attended our public schools and Santa Fe College, my oldest son is a successful product of our school system, I have one child in middle school and another in high school. Our system is complicated and you need someone who really understands its advantages to help you make decisions about the wonderful educational opportunities in our community.
Before I found a career in real estate I worked in the College of Veterinary Medicine, where I acquired in depth knowledge of the workings of the huge and complex University of Florida. After a stint in property management, where I could take my children to work with me, I took the Florida Real Estate exam and passed with glowing colors. I earned the “Rookie of the Year” award in my very first year and went on to earn the President’s Award with Watson Realty.
