Like most Canadian kids, Bill grew up dreaming about someday playing in the National Hockey League. He spent most of his teenage winters playing Junior Hockey in Hull, Quebec, a team sponsored by the New York Rangers, and continued his education. He was fortunate to receive a scholarship to attend Clarkson University in Upstate New York and graduate with a degree in Business Administration in 1961.
Upon graduation, he was invited to the New York Rangers training camp in 1961 and assigned to Los Angeles of the Western Hockey League.
He spent 30 years in the Insurance Industry, after retiring from hockey in 1963, and settled in South Florida. He was President of a large Multi-Line Insurance Company in Ft. Lauderdale for 20 years and, after Hurricane Andrew paid a visit in 1992, he and his family moved to Gainesville, where he joined Tower Hill Insurance Company as a consultant.
In 2002, Bill obtained his Florida Real Estate License and became a top producer for a local real estate broker. In 2012, he joined the Thomas Group Realty, LLC as a Senior Vice President, to continue his career and service his customers.
