I am a seventh generation Floridian. My great-great-great-grandfather Florida Senator Gabriel Priest introduced the bill to create Marion County in 1844, and my family has never left! I grew up in the little town of Anthony, which is now famous for being the home of John Travolta. My parents live directly across the runway from him. The movie The Yearling with Gregory Peck was filmed on my family’s property that is now Indian Prairie State Forest, and today Island Grove Wine Company is on my great grandmother’s homestead near Cross Creek.
I love to travel, but there is no place like home. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Florida. I love the Gators, but my choice to attend UF was solely due to its proximity to my beloved Marion County. After working 13 years in marketing and public relations, in 2017, I decided to combine my marketing skills with my love of Ocala and Marion County in a new career as a sales consultant for Arthur Rutenberg Homes/ Kinsell Custom Homes. Helping people build the home of their dreams has been so rewarding that I became a REALTOR in 2018.
When not working, most of my time is spent with my husband Angelo and two daughters, Meadow and Fable. I enjoy volunteering at my children's elementary school and helping out with the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church Ocala.
